Activity 1 (Day 1): Health Science Simulation

- Prior to this activity, use the Health Science Simulation Station Materials List to set up the stations around the classroom.
- Station 1: Surgical Hand Washing
- Station 2: Applying and Removing Surgical Gloves
- Station 3: Applying a Finger Splint
- Station 4: Taking Vital Signs
- Station 5: Human Skeleton Bone Identification
- Model the tasks at each station for the class.
- Divide the class into five small groups and explain that groups will rotate through the stations, spending eight minutes to complete the tasks at each station.
- After completing all stations, regroup and discuss students’ experiences with the tasks.
- Which tasks were easy to perform?
- Which tasks were difficult to perform?
- Have you seen these tasks performed before? If so, where and why?
