How Can We Help?
Bringing Back Downtown
Estimated Time: Nine 45-minute class periods
Project Summary: Student groups conduct research using target markets to identify community needs, interests, and resources to improve the main street downtown area. Groups generate a business proposal to present to a “mock” city council who is offering revitalization grants for businesses willing to invest in their downtown to help attract more foot traffic to the area.
Driving Question (Teacher Guided, Student Constructed): How can we develop a plan to create a more vibrant downtown with a culture of engagement, where people will want to live, shop, dine, visit, and invest?
